Aikido is a martial art that is suitable for adults and kids of all ages. As well as being a lot of fun, training in Aikido improves balance, concentration and coordination. It is great for fitness and doesn't rely on size, strength or speed.
Aikido training is non-aggressive and co-operative. Aikido teaches the principles of safety and respect for yourself and other people, along with self-defence and self-discipline.
Children from 7 to 14 are welcome to come along to our children's class on Wednesday evenings. Beginning students can start any time with the regular kids class. We also welcome parents to train with their children.
Aiki-kids is held on Wednesdays from 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm at our dojo above the boxing club in Maidstone Park.
